Video Background Music adds or replaces the audio track on a video with a separate music or sound file you upload — either swapping the original audio out completely, or mixing the new track in underneath the existing sound. It accepts MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, and WebM video, any common audio file for the music track, and always saves the result as an MP4.
Because the video stream itself doesn't need to change at all, this operation copies the original video frames directly rather than re-encoding them — only the audio gets processed — which makes it one of the faster operations in this toolkit. In Replace mode the original audio is dropped entirely; in Mix mode both tracks play together, with the uploaded music blended at a lower volume so it sits behind the original sound rather than drowning it out.
The whole process runs inside your browser via FFmpeg WebAssembly, so neither file is ever uploaded anywhere.
