Reverse Video plays a clip backwards from end to start — both picture and sound — a classic effect for comedy clips, "undo" illusions, and creative edits. It accepts MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, and WebM as input and always saves the result as an MP4, since reversing requires a full re-encode regardless of the source format.
Unlike most video operations, reversing can't be done with a quick stream copy — FFmpeg has to decode every single frame, hold the whole sequence in memory, and write it back out in the opposite order (the -vf reverse and -af areverse filters). That makes it one of the more memory-intensive operations this toolkit offers, which is why it works best on shorter clips — a long, high-resolution video can require a large amount of RAM to buffer entirely before the reversed output can be written.
The whole process runs inside your browser via FFmpeg WebAssembly, so your clip is never uploaded anywhere during conversion.
